SPECIAL TREAT FOR THIS YEAR - 2 VINYL MILONGAS
Davin Quinn and Andrés Vs will make our event extra special by playing the music from
their vinyl collections!
Why vinyl?
The richness of the vinyl sound, the high quality of the transfers, and the 100% analog equipment all combine to produce an immersive musical and dancing experience—dancers often say they hear things in their favorite songs that they never heard before!

Davin Quinn
Santa Fe, NM
Davin is our first DJ who will rock the tunes through his Vinyls. He always combines classic hits with exciting new material and energetic cortinas to keep the party pumping and dancers dancing from beginning to end.
Davin has been a tango dancer since 2006, and a DJ since 2012. He started collecting tango on vinyl purely for personal reasons at first, but a good friend motivated him to try DJing with records back in 2017, and now it is his preferred way to play at milongas and festivals. There is so much sonic richness to the experience of listening to tango directly from the vinyl and shellac records made long ago. They have helped him to listen more critically, to learn more about the science and art of sound reproduction, and to think more creatively and intensely as a DJ

Andrés Vs
Latvia
Andrés is our second DJ who will be playing Vinyls for us coming all the way from Latvia.
Andrés has been playing music at milongas, marathons and festivals since the end of 2011.
During this period, he played at events in various European countries, in Russia, Ukraine, and Buenos Aires (Salon Canning: Parakultural; Practica De Querusa).
He plays from vinyl records from his personal collection.
Mostly he chooses recordings from 1935 to 1947, depending on the format of the event, he can put some
later recordings.

Viva Delorme
Montreal, Canada
Viva began dancing both roles in 2010. She was a pioneer figure in the Montreal Queer Tango community and instrumental in its development, co-organizing classes, as well as the Montreal International Queer Tango Festival. In 2018, Viva began DJing as a way to contribute to the community and to deepen her own understanding of the dance. Viva is one of the ‘‘house” DJs at Studio Tango Montreal, and sometimes DJs at special local events. She has been invited to DJ at numerous international QT festivals (Buenos Aires, Berlin, NYC, Miami) and also at Abrazo and Bailongo in Montréal

Marc Hussner
Lisbon, Portugal
Marc Hussner has been teaching, DJing, and performing Argentine tango for nearly two decades. Before leaving the U.S. in late 2017, he was based in Philadelphia, PA, and San Diego, CA. He then moved back to Europe to pursue a BA in Dance (Lisbon, Portugal) and a Master’s in Dance Movement Therapy (Barcelona, Spain). Marc has taught, DJed, and performed in the U.S., Canada, Argentina, Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Russia. Now based back in Lisbon, he brings a dancer-focused energy to the booth—always aiming to spark a great party while honoring the rich tradition of tango.

Rainier Pereira
Brooklyn, NY
Rainier's journey as a Tango DJ began at the age of 15 when he rented speakers for small Latin parties and started selecting music upon his friends' requests. This early experience sparked a passion that would shape his career. By 2010, at 20 years old, he co-hosted the only milonga in his hometown, stepping in as a DJ due to a lack of local tango DJs. His interest in tango deepened, leading him to Buenos Aires, where he studied tango and gained insights from renowned DJs like Mario Orlando and Horacio Godoy.
In 2014, Rainier moved to Buenos Aires and started co-hosting the Cachivacheria Milonga while DJing at various practicas and milongas. His career expanded internationally in 2017 when he DJ'd at milongas and festivals across Europe while performing and teaching tango for several years.
In 2020, he relocated to the US, quickly becoming one of the most popular DJs on the East Coast, known for his sets at numerous festivals and milongas nationwide.
